Why Greek language is a unic language ?
When you hear Spanish language ; you feel great connection with Italian , Romanian , Frensh ..etc . when you hear English ; you feel good connection with german ..etc . When you hear Jewish ; you feel great connection with Arabic .. etc . But when you hear a greek language ; you don't find a clear relation with the spoken language of the other countries . Am I wrong ? why ?

When scholars talk about Greek being a "unique" language, I think it’s because Greek has no really close relatives in the Indo-European family of languages.
The nearest modern relatives of Greek appear to be Albanian and Armenian. However their relationship to Greek is not immediately apparent to someone who hasn’t studied linguistics a little bit.
For example, Albanian words for "new," i ri and e re are related to Greek neos (m.) and nea (f.) while the Armenian word for new, nor is a cognate with Greek nearos meaning "young" or "fresh." However, the relationships are more dissimilar than the words for "new" between the Germanic languages: neu, nieuw, ny or the Romance languages: novo, nuevo, nuovo, nou, nouveau etc.
There were a whole host of Indo-European languages spoken in the Balkans and Western Asia Minor in ancient times – Illyrian, Dacian, Thracian, Mysian, Lydian, Phrygian etc. that appear to have been relatively close to Greek but they are all extinct now.
There may be a pre-Indo-European substratum in Greek too which gives it its special flavor. Especially, if the Greeks were originally a non-Indo-European people. However, this is still debated by linguists and has not been proven conclusively. It’s just a possibility.
Some linguists claim that Sanskrit has been colored by the pre-Indo-European Dravidian languages that were spoken in India too. Likewise, maybe Russian, Latvian and Lithuanian with a Finnish substratum.

When I speak Spanish, I feel a connection with Spain or Latin America
When I speak Italian I feel a connection with Italy
When I speak English – my native language – the last thing I feel is any connection with Germany or anywhere else.
When I speak Greek, I feel a connection with one of the greatest civilizations that ever existed and which contributed more words to the vocabularies of other languages than any other with the possible exception of Latin.

I think Greek language is one of its kind. "Monogenous".

I’m half Greek and I think no other language is similar, even the letters are different. My mother language is Spanish but at home we were speaking Greek but when I had to learn how to write it was really difficult. Now I speak Greek but I have problem reading writing

U’ll really find some similiar words of Albanian and Greek, both languages are unique, this is why people think that they’re probably the first languages on Earth.Greek is unique but Albanian and Finnish are too. U can’t find similiar words in Finnish with any other language.

I am Greek and I believe that is because ancient Greeks were one of the first one to create an alphabet(with help from Latin that is)But take a look in the Russian language…we have many letters of the alphabet in common..!And that is because we share a common history with this country…(I know there may be even more,I can’t think of right now).Sure it’s one of the most ancient and unique languages but it certain;y has some similarities with other languages..!
