It’s believed that the New Testament was originally written in Greek with a few phrases of Jesus’ that were quoted verbatim in Aramaic. Most of the New Testament are letters written to Greek speaking cities, people, and provinces so the likelihood that they were originally written in another language and later translated is unlikely.
