Can someone translate the greek phrase that was told to spartan soldier by their mother before departure to war. "Come back with your sheild or on it"?
preferbally a Modern Greek translation and/or the Ancient Greek version that would have been actually used?

Με την ασπίδα σας ή σε την
με σας ασπίδα ή σε το
i tan i epi tas(ή τάν ή επί τάς)
ok,I can’t put the actual ancient Greek punctuation but it’s 100% correct
