I’ve studied Greek mythology 3 times in a row, so I hope I can help.
Usually, Greek mythology has to do with what the Greeks couldn’t explain way back when. For example: How were spiders created? This is how the story of Arachne came about (and modern scientists named spider "arachnid" because of it).
Try something with nature or the unknown. Think: If you were a Greek in Ancient times, what would be the most confusing to you? How leaves are green? How the cat was created? Get creative! Myths are usually fantastical and have a moral or lesson, so it doesn’t matter how wacky your story is. Maybe watch some Ancient Greece and Roman-based movies (i.e. Troy, Hercules) to get a feel of what the people believed in.
Here’s some examples you could do:
-Why lemons are sour.
-The origin of mosquitoes (maybe because of all the evil in the world…?)
-The origin of scorpions (how they got the spiky tail thingy?)
I’m sure you’ll do awesome!! Good luck!
That’s a tricky one, the greeks had lots of things "Explained". One I’ve always wondered about was their idea that red-heads turned into vampires after they died, not sure about the weakness of a greek vampire but you can prolly find them on wikipedia.
