I am very interested in learning the Greek that was used in the New Testament.
I don't know where to start. I tried picking up a few books from my local Library, but they were not very detailed.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

then why is it you can find the lord's prayer in aramaic in the youtube as the original version of Jesus before the greek? or the new testament was written in greek before? then why do gospels quoted the greek version of the Bible?for their prophecies of the Jewish Bible?

For example at Matthew 4:10, Jesus said to Satan that it is YHWH alone whom you should worship. (I'm not quoting the literal words from any translation but I know Jesus mentioned God's name at this verse). When, in this scripture of new testament God's name was mentioned, how was it written in Greek? Please mention the names of the Greek alphabets that were used to write down YHWH in Greek.

I know pronunciation is different, but looking at the words for love, the modern greek i learned was 'philei' and new testament uses 'agapi'

It is the oldest in Europe, we still write in the same alphabet we wrote 4,000 years ago. The New Testament was written in Greek and about 13% of the English Oxford dictionary is derived from Greek roots.
I just think it is one of the biggest links that unites us to our Hellenic heritage.
