I have an essay on my definition of Greek Mythology. I need to talk about a Titan and Olympian god/goddess and one myth.

I have chosen to pick three that all involve each other somehow.
Medusa and Athena relate because Athena is the one who turns Medusa's hair into snakes and so on.

Which Greek Mythology Titan could relate to the stories of either Athena or Medusa?

I am talking about stories found in Edith Hamilton's Mythology.

Things like Romeo and Juliet are based on or similar to the brief story of lovers Pyramus and Thisbe.

It does not have to be a myth from Mythology I am open to all ideas.

Can mortals talk to Greek gods and goddesses?

I mean in a myth.
I have to write one, and I forgot if they could or not.
For example, a mortal decides to steal something of Zeus's, and Hermes hears.
Hermes goes and tells Zeus, who then tells Hermes to trick the mortal into tell him the whole plan.

So I guess what I'm asking is, could Hermes go and talk to the mortal?

Most people believe that it is just a myth, yet they believe in a god purely through faith: believing in something without any proof. If I were to say that the Christian god is a myth i bet many people would be pissed. And if i told some muslims that they worshipped a false god they might kill me. Why is it absurd to think Greek gods are real? Christians believe a talking snake convinced a woman to eat an apple.

i have been cast as aphrodite the godess of love in the greek theatre performance "hephateus and aphrodite". if anybody is aware of this myth, or of the godess of love aphrodite in general - pointers are much appreciated!

My argument is basically that they combined history and mythology and that it effects our understanding of them today, but I can't come up with a good thesis statement for it.
@null the living darkness, that doesn't help much (although maybe I could take from it that to the Greeks Myth and History were inseparable, but that still doesn't break down to a concise thesis).

I have to make up my own Greek/Roman Goddess. I named her Glacilicles, the goddess of ice and glaciers. I picked Boreas (actual god of cold winter air) to be her father and Arethusa (actual goddess known as "the waterer") to be her mother. I have to come up with a myth that talks about how glaciers are formed. Anyone have any suggestions?

How did Greeks talk to their gods?

I'm writing a myth for my latin class, and I'm trying to write about how this woman tries to get in contact with Hera. But I'm not sure of the Greek rituals/customs that they performed when they tried to speak/contact their gods. I want my story to be accurate and reflect Greek culture. Can someone explain please?
