The Pelasgians are a distinct people who lived in ancient Greece and are mentioned by some ancient historians and authors. It is said that they did not speak Greek, according to Herodotus and that they were even barbarian. So who were these people? What was their relationship to the Greeks? It's sad that the language they spoke hasn't survived to the present day.
I really like this Greek guy but he always flirts and talks about black girls and how he loves dark skin. Im white and I its impossible for me to get darker. Everytime we go out they are always flirting with the black girls when there are tons of hott white girls around. It really hurts my feelings because they are all really hott and sometimes I feel like Im not good enough for them. Why do Italians and Greeks like black girls?

As an infant, I was born within a 100% Greek community and assimilated into the community. Despite having an original greek ancestry, no one in my family knows greek. I learned greek in schooling as at age 2 and a half though 5 years. Eventually, we moved and years passed. I now cannot remember a lick of greek which makes me extremily frustrated. I think about it everyday and don't know what to do
Where should I go to learn Greek now, from your point of view as a Greek. I'm really serious about this and want some answers. It makes me sad that I used to speak, read, and write greek so fluently, but now I can't. Is there any institution in NY I can go to? A Greek church maybe or something? I'm really getting desperate
The area I live in now by the way used to have a lot of Greeks, now they are very little
I'm now 19 years old by the way
I mean, I quite often hear people talk about Greek mythology and Egyptian mythology referring to the religious beliefs and practices of ancient Greeks and Egyptians, perfectly equivalent to what Christians and Muslims in the modern era believe and practice, yet apparently, what Christians and Muslims believe and practice is not mythology…it’s something else. What is it then if not mythology?
Hint: The Werwolf has nothing to do with the answer and the Byzantine Christians stole the image from the Greeks.
There is a Byzantian cathedral with "Saint Christopher" as a Cynocephale.
Correction: Cathedral Window
My argument is basically that they combined history and mythology and that it effects our understanding of them today, but I can't come up with a good thesis statement for it.
@null the living darkness, that doesn't help much (although maybe I could take from it that to the Greeks Myth and History were inseparable, but that still doesn't break down to a concise thesis).
in nicki minajs songs she keeps saying she's roman, and she's not. Plus why do black people in state schools learn about the greeks, and why not other african tribes??

In 1829 when Greece became a state, for the first time, it was a small country covering the region of Morea, modern day Peloponnesus (Greece proper). The majority of people living in Morea at the time spoke Albanian, Turkish, Vlach and Slav. Athens itself, the cradle of the ancient civilization, was nothing more than an Albanian village.
So far I have she created and defined love for the Greeks and she personified the way the Greeks viewed love. I need one more thing. I was thinking something to do with her giving the Greeks something to talk about. But I'm not sure. Help!

Expanding of skopia? If Skopia people are Macedonian are Greeks too so why they dont join the Greek country to become one?

I have a greek friend from North Hepeirus and she told me that they wouldn't allowed to talk greek not even in their homes. Also, there were always strange people that was called "cusines" that were watching them every time that someone was coming from greek state to visit them. She told me that many people died in prison for just very funny reasons, such as because they didn't admit they were Albanians.
They deprived of the right to get married in churches, many Greeks from Albania got married after escaping in Greece.
Also, many people escaped from Albania using spoons and forks for digging small tuneles.
Also, albanian state refused to state as greeks the child that had a greek parent and an albanian parent, trying to minimize the minority.
At first, I thought that it was too much for being true.
What do you think of it?....
Dear Frank,
You are right, except of the Thrace minority. I live in Xanthi. Except of the public schools, there is also a private gymnasium for Muslims, which was built in 1968... In schools things are very "gentle" for them. They also have another list of entering the University, which is very favorable. I also know that they vote to specific villages, so that they elect people from the minority, and why not? Of course they must stand up for their rights.
Of course I know that uneven things are happening. But greek state is not hostile to minorities, people live in freedom and no one presses them to deprive of their language and different character, that's what I think.
I wanted to communicate with Greeks through Internet. Or Russian characters, for that matter?
Not knowing much about computers; is it by using a CD-rom (whatever that really is). And however it is done, how do my LATIN language characters become Greek or Russian when I type?
