I have researced this already, but I am curious about something. The greek word Aer means
1. the air, particularly the lower and denser air as distinguished from the higher and rarer air
2. the atmospheric region
However the original word that Aer is derived from is ajhvr Origin : from aemi (to breathe unconsciously, i.e. respire; by analogy, to blow)
How did they get the word Aer from Aemi and have it mean something completely different? Or is is like our English where one word can have multiple meanings? If so, how would you know what meaning is being represented?

I want to get a tattoo of the word ἀγαπήσεις. But I want it to look all nice and pretty! it is the greek word that means "you shall love." Jesus used this word when the Pharisees asked him what the greatest commandment is.
