I have an essay on my definition of Greek Mythology. I need to talk about a Titan and Olympian god/goddess and one myth.
I have chosen to pick three that all involve each other somehow.
Medusa and Athena relate because Athena is the one who turns Medusa's hair into snakes and so on.
Which Greek Mythology Titan could relate to the stories of either Athena or Medusa?

I remember from when I was skimming a book in the library I think to find a good book, I picked up a Greek Mythology one, and it talked about a lady and a unicorn, but this unicorn was nothing like the ones you'd think they'd be, but rather blood red with scary eyes. My memory is fuzzy, but is it true that in Greek Mythology, there were indeed unicorns, even if they were rare?

I'm confused.
In Greek mythology who goes to the underworld, Everyone that dies? or only bad people like in christian religion?
Everyone thinks the underworld is like hell but I haven't seen anything related to Greek culture that talks about a heaven for humans; the Olympus is just for gods and goddesses right?

I'm planning an awesome tattoo of the Greek mythology character Medea: the perfect example of how love can make you turn crazy and I wanted to add the sentence ''Love solves everything'' as somehow an ironical poetic joke. Unfortunately ancient Greek translators I had found doesn't show how to conjugate ''solves'' properly.

Specifically GREEK, NOT ROMAN, please. And I'm not talking about Greek Orthodox, but the actual religion.
Also! I am fully aware that the Greek Gods are also known as the Olympians, and live on Mount Olympus. Believe me, I've studied Greek Mythology for years, so I just want the name of the RELIGION. This detail was specifically added for Nutter. I KNOW what they are called. I just wanted to know the religion's name.

I mean, I quite often hear people talk about Greek mythology and Egyptian mythology referring to the religious beliefs and practices of ancient Greeks and Egyptians, perfectly equivalent to what Christians and Muslims in the modern era believe and practice, yet apparently, what Christians and Muslims believe and practice is not mythology…it’s something else. What is it then if not mythology?

I am looking for a book on Greek Mythology that talks about all the Gods and Goddesses including the ones you don't usually hear about. I like the idea of Robert Graves's book called The Greek Myths, because it has so much information (about 1000 pages worth) on the Gods and goddesses, but I am looking for a book that is less of reference like Graves's. Thank you in advance!
I would love to find a book with all the originals.

I know there isn't a bible about greek MYTHOLOGY, because someone who wrote it wouldn't believe it to be mythology, but facts, if you know what I mean. But is there a bible that talks about all the greek beliefs, and includes everything about greek belief? A link or title would be greatttt!

I haven't written a report in awhile, so I was hoping I could get some ideas on what my teacher might expect. At first I was given a chapter titled "Poseidon, Sea deities, Group Divinities, and Monsters." The thought in my mind when I started writing the report was to talk about what the chapter entitles except with more information from other resources. For example at the end of the chapter it doesn't give much information on the monsters so I wrote some specifics like what roles the monsters played in Greek mythology. I also summarized and quoted two stories of particular divinities. Additionally, I wrote about how the divinities were depicted. You can see I just talked about more information on what the chapter entitles. To me it doesn't seem like this is how you write a report.

I have recently become interested in Greek Mythology. I read The Odyssey and I am currently reading The Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, and then I wondered; Does this go against my religion? It talks about many Gods, monsters like cyclops and fictional creatures like satyrs and the Underworld and I don't "believe" in it but I enjoy reading about it. I'm just a young teen, I don't know what I'm reading anyways but I am wondering about it. Does Greek Mythology contradict religion, specifically Christianity?

Okay, So i have this english test soon, and I chose the subject Greek mythology. Mostly because it's simply the best ^^
First of all I need some tips how to draw out the attention of my audience, and keep the presentation interesting all the time while im talking.
In my presentation I want to mention heroes such like Achilles,Chiron(The centaur), Herakles (and his 12 labors) etc..
If you have someone to add who is really interesting please write it down : )

It's against what I believe.
How is it going to help me out when I am older?
Do you think it's right that schools are teaching Greek Mythology?
I pretty much see it as a bunch of stories about sinful fictional characters.
It's garbage.

The CSI episode is the one where they find t-shirts and they connect to Greek Mythology. They also talk about numbers meaning words like 7-Conciseness and 0-Everything and Nothing.
I want to know what the rest of the numbers are and what this system is called.
