Specifically GREEK, NOT ROMAN, please. And I'm not talking about Greek Orthodox, but the actual religion.
Also! I am fully aware that the Greek Gods are also known as the Olympians, and live on Mount Olympus. Believe me, I've studied Greek Mythology for years, so I just want the name of the RELIGION. This detail was specifically added for Nutter. I KNOW what they are called. I just wanted to know the religion's name.

Most people believe that it is just a myth, yet they believe in a god purely through faith: believing in something without any proof. If I were to say that the Christian god is a myth i bet many people would be pissed. And if i told some muslims that they worshipped a false god they might kill me. Why is it absurd to think Greek gods are real? Christians believe a talking snake convinced a woman to eat an apple.

I believe in Greek Gods and Goddesses. My whole life I have had Jesus shoved down my throat. I've wanted to practice my faith but Im just totally lost when I try to. Yeah I know how to talk to Jesus and God and all that crap but when it comes to the Greek Gods and Goddesses I feel stupid. I want to change this and live for the better.
P.S.
Google you are no help!

The Holy Bible, as viewed by us Christians, is God's divine word. It is divinely inspired, albeit written through a human medium.
So was Homer supposedly inspired by the gods to write The Iliad and the Odyssey, for example? Or were those epic pieces of writing his own, and they just alluded to the Greek gods?
And in the juxtaposition of Homer's writing and the Holy Bible, are we really comparing apples and apples?
Hey Invisible Talker- yes, indeed. Thank you for having inspired this question. Thank you also for your response. Good answers, folks.

Me and my roommates were talking about this just now, and the two candidates were were discussing were Sean Connery ( the fact that he's hugely respected, and is the forerunner to the biggest Hollywood movie franchise [James Bond], and he has done so many films) and Arnold Schwarzenegger (The biggest Hollywood icon).
Anybody agree or can think of someone better?
Also, who'd be other Greek Gods/Goddesses?

there are still people who worship the greek gods, I am not the only one. If someone posts about the greek gods, even if they are talking about their religious beliefs, the first category suggestion will be mythology and folk tell. there are Hellenists, Greek neo pagans, Eclectic Greek Polytheist, ETC. it isn't dead beliefs.
