Well, Im half greek, & I know that they add "itsa" or "aki/naki" to their names, & I think it's cute. Like, my cousin's name is Mihalia, & everyone calls her Mihalitsa. So my name is Maria, & my friend called me Maritsa once, but it doesn't sound right. Can you help me? What about Maritsaki? Does that work? Lol, I just want a cute name like that Thank you
I would like to get a tattoo in some greek writing but i am not sure if i should go with the online translators.
Τα φαινόμενα είναι απατηλή. i just want to make sure that's right.

I am studying for the SAT/ACT and i need a good site or book that covers the vocabulary. Anything from greek & latin roots or actual word will be VERY helpful. Thank You!
My husband's grandfather immigrated to Baltimore, MD in 1875 from the Isle of Crete, Greece, but I have not been able to find him on any of the Immigration Records or Ship Manifests. We know his name to be John Zarbs, but some of the census reports have it spelled as Zarps, Zark, Zarbes, Zerbes & Zarbis. I was told that he may have changed his name upon entering this country. Any idea what his name is in Greek, and what name I should be looking for? Thank you.
I really like the first two songs of this YouTube video.
If you speak Greek or Turkish (or both!), would you please tell me who sings them? Or would you at least type the lyrics so that I may find the song titles?
Thank you!
Telospantwn & Ovsanna:
Thank both of you so much! I would never have found the songs if you hadn't answered.
I bought a new laptop in Greece & (maybe unsurprisingly) everything is in Greek. Is there any way I can change it to English? I tried changing the language settings in the control panel but that hasn't made any difference. I am an IT idiot so please make any instructions very easy! Thank you!
I said I was an IT idiot... it seems that it's on Windows Vista Home Premium I need to change the language Is this possible?
