I want to learn Greek.
Are there any free websites to use?
And to help me learn the alphabet, is there anywhere i can get Greek texts online to practice reading and recognizing the letters?
Thanks!

For example, is it the pronunciation, or leading all of their alphabet? If you can speak Greek, how long did it take until you were fluent?

I have memorized the alphabet, but I can't do a thing with it if I don't know the language.
I would really like to learn Greek.

Well I'm half Greek, but I don't speak the language. I don't plan on becoming fluent in Greek right now, but I'd like to learn a few phrases. So I need to know how to pronounce Greek letters. How do you pronounce the vowels? And are there any consonants that have a different pronunciation? Oh and if you want you can tell me a few phrases.
Actually I am well aware that Greek has a different alphabet. I can't read Greek. So I meant words and phrases that would be written in our alphabet so I can read them.

I'm so confused. I looked through the alphabet, but I didn't understand if the TH is supposed to be combined. The name is Edith.

I was in math class and my teacher was talking about the greek symbols and how we use them in math and i was wondering if greek words are generally ever written using the normal alphabet?

It is the oldest in Europe, we still write in the same alphabet we wrote 4,000 years ago. The New Testament was written in Greek and about 13% of the English Oxford dictionary is derived from Greek roots.
I just think it is one of the biggest links that unites us to our Hellenic heritage.
