Is there a cultural reason that Greek people are so loud when they talk??
I used to live in a street where a lot of greek people lived and could seriously hear what sounded like yelling/arguing when they were "talking". I'm curious to know why
just a note that i really would like to know why am not being racist. you could also go the opposite way and say why are japanese people usually so shy and there would be a genuine answer due to cultural differences etc etc so please don't be offended

They talk from their gut which is akin to the technique used for singing and stage acting.
As a result it travels further.
As far as pure volume goes, that’s from living in a large family and always talking over other people.
lol your racist
not true.
im greek and my house is always super loud! i guess its just the way we are.
im Greek and were loud because we always want our way. So when someone disagrees with us we decide to get louder and louder. (and what you probs. hear is more of a whisper cause when Greeks yell it can shatter a window.)
