I’ve studied Koine Greek, which is more difficult than modern Greek. Greek grammar is more complicated than English in some respects, but overall, the language is easier. Once you learn the spelling and pronunciation rules, it’s pretty easy to read any Greek word (whereas in English, we have nothing but exceptions, and multiple ways to pronounce a single syllable: ough).
It is a beautiful language, and very much worth learning.
