If dead religion is called mythology, then why would greek gods and their stories be called myths?

there are still people who worship the greek gods, I am not the only one. If someone posts about the greek gods, even if they are talking about their religious beliefs, the first category suggestion will be mythology and folk tell. there are Hellenists, Greek neo pagans, Eclectic Greek Polytheist, ETC. it isn't dead beliefs.

Mythology isn’t dead religion. Mythology is what you call a religion when you want to study its mythic value, and don’t have to worry about it’s adherants crying because they think mythology is a bad name.
Christianity has some great mythic value. It’s usually ruined when someone looks at all the stories literally, though.
It’s not because the religion is dead, it’s because the deities are dead.
We just forget reviving the religion and refer to you as crazy people.
Dead religions are not called mythology, just made up ones. That includes most of them, but not all of them.
