Ο Θεός είναι αγάπη
I DONT KNOW
in Greek, there are at least 3 different words that describe 3 types of love.
as i recall,
there is romantic love,
family love
love of country.
for instance, it is possible that there is physical love, but not romantic love.
I could be totally wrong – it has been many years since i read about this.
so, to REALLY not look like an idiot, it would be good to check with an expert in Greek.
But i don’t think that any of the forms of love refers to love of God.
=============
one of the Greek words for love
agápe, is the form used for I love you (modern).
for loving your children, your spouse, even for loving a good meal
éros, suggests physical attraction
philía, friendship love
and storgē. is affection
==============
none of those seem to fit with Love of god, or that God is love.
A form of agapae
