How would I write this name in the Greek alphabet?

The name is Melynda.
I tried to spell it myself and this is what I came up with... Μαλινδα.
I can't tell if alpha can make the uh sound I need or if it can only make an ah sound. cuz its Muh-lin-duh ....not Mah-lin-dah. haha. I want it spelled as phonetically as possible. Its for a friend....she's part Greek and I wanted to put it on a necklace for her as a gift.

Well, we don’t have this sound in Greek (actually it sounds the same to us) and α is the closest you can use..
And "δ" makes a th sound like in the word "this". For "D" use the digraph "ντ".

So, Μαλιντα
