No, modern Greek.
My step mother is Greek, so she may tutor me a bit. I speak 4 languages : Arabic (native), English (fluent), German ( advanced) and French (advanced)
I know i can do it in a year or 2, languages is a strong point of mine lol but i was just wondering normally how long does it take.

For an English speaker with an aptitude for language learning and a knowledge of other languages, about 44 weeks (1100 class hours) to become fluent.
ancient greek?
if u study seriously about 3 years , 10 hours a week
everyone learns languages at different paces i speak 6 languages myself so i can tell you that much… and it depends on what other languages you know for example someone who speak english and spanish and wants to learn italian will pick that up within a year easily because all 3languages are closely related.. but if you wanted to learn chinese it would take significantly longer.. if you really want to learn greek i suggest you find online language learning sites, try to find a greek friend maybe from uni or people who are greek but studying in your area or a private tutor
