We have a senior t-shirt design contest
in school and our school mascot is a titan, and titans link
to greek mythology. At first i was thinking of using
Roman Numerals, but i changed my decision.

You can write it in Greek number system called ‘Aacrophonic system’ ( means that the symbols for the numerals come from the first letter of the number name, so the symbol has come from an abreviation of the word which is used for the number ) which is quite complicated.
or
You can write it in Greek number system called ‘Alphabetical numerals" ( based on giving values to the letters of the alphabet )
so 2009 would be ͵βθ
or
You can write it in Greek word by word
so 2009 would be δυο χιλιαδες εννια, in caps ΔΥΟ ΧΙΛΙΑΔΕΣ ΕΝΝΙΑ
MMIX
hope it helps
thio hiyathes enea
2009
All numerals are the same, as in 2007, 2008, 2009, etc, in every language, though numbers aren’t pronounced the same. Sorry that I don’t actually know how to say them in Greek.
͵βθʹ in the Ionic system.
Greekboi’s answer is Modern Greek written out and transliterated phonetically into English, BTW. Most Greeks nowadays just use 2009 though, obviously.
δυο χιλιαδες εννια (in greek)
with latin caracters: dio chiliades enia
the number is the same: 2009
δύο χιλιάδες εννιά
