I have been trying to figure out how to write You (cap. Y, pronoun) in Greek or Hebrew.
I've tried some online translators and have gotten different answers for the Greek. (εσύ and Μπορείτε) What is the difference between those two?
Is אתה right for Hebrew?
Thanks!

The term Tetragrammaton (from Greek meaning "[a word] having four letters") refers to the proper name of the God of Israel used in the Hebrew Bible. My question is, what would be a Greek term meaning "a word having nine letters?" I suppose this question would be easy enough to answer, but I don't speak Greek and don't know where to begin.
If "tetra" (meaning four) creates "tetragrammaton," then what would create (Greek 9)-grammaton?

Hey guys, you'll never guess what happened to me on the subway this morning. This guy was smiling at me and talking to me. He was being real friendly and I think he was coming on to me. I think he might've thought I was gay! I think he thought I was gay because he knew I'm Greek.
What's your thoughts on that?

I'm trying to translate words and phrases from English to Greek and/or Ancient Greek, but I've had great difficulty finding an online dictionary that translates according to these two conditions...
(1) The Greek words must be in the Latin alphabet (i.e. a, b, c) NOT in the Greek alphabet (i.e. alpha, betta, gamma), and
(2) It must also NOT be "Greeklish" - the transliteration of the Greek Alphabet (i.e. letter-by-letter converstion of delta to D and gamma to G), but rather an OFFICIAL translation for that word.
I'm not sure how else to express it, but perhaps an example will help... In Greek "helios" means "sun" and "deus" means "god" and "hypnos means "sleep". These are translations in the Latin alphabet that are not transliterations. What I am looking for is a resource (preferably online) that translates any other English word (like "source" or freedom" or "flow") in that way.
If you have any information on such a website, I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!

In other words, how long do you think it will be until people view organized religion of today's world as an outdated piece of history that was part of the evolution of humans?

My friend and I want to learn a greek language, and we want to start with the easier one.
Also, if we do both, which would be the best to learn first?
Thanks for your help!
I know they are both tough, but which one is maybe a little easier than the other?

For example at Matthew 4:10, Jesus said to Satan that it is YHWH alone whom you should worship. (I'm not quoting the literal words from any translation but I know Jesus mentioned God's name at this verse). When, in this scripture of new testament God's name was mentioned, how was it written in Greek? Please mention the names of the Greek alphabets that were used to write down YHWH in Greek.

My friend said that they were muscular because they always throw stones.
Is it really allowed to throw stones in the city?
